To The Board of Directors at Sunset Park Townhouses Association
You were elected by the general membership of our association to represent their interests, that is the interests of the association property owners. Although there is no pay, a little aggravation and very little reward, you were given and assumed some important responsibilities.
Questions need to be raised when highly visible and blatant abuse of power is readily flaunted. This time has come. Because of these blatant abuses, our Board of Directors has reduced itself to an ineffective, defunct group who has lost direction and leadership and is incapable of performing business as usual.
Be advised that the general membership will be made fully aware of these inappropriate activities of the Board and further action by the membership against the Board of Directors as a group and as individuals will shortly follow unless the following demands are met:
Although Dianne Neumann served on the Board well and is to be commended for all her help, she did resign and her resignation was duly announced. Not only does Ms. Kahn not have the authority to reinstate Ms. Neumann, it is inappropriate to attempt to reinstate her since the position had already been filled. The Board of Directors must concede that Dianne Neumann is not on the Board of Directors.
It is obvious that this attempt to reinstate Ms. Neumann, in time for a recent meeting, was done so in a ploy to gain Board votes in order to remove Bill McDougald from the Board. This is not business as usual. No justification or reasons, other than that of disagreements with Mr. McDougald over the lawn mower man, were given. The Board of Directors must concede that Bill McDougald remains on the Board of Directors.
Whether or not everyone agrees, Melody McDougald was elected by the membership as a board member. Mr. David Singer failed to exhibit any law, whether federal, state, local, in our Articles of Incorporation or in our By-Laws that prevent two parties from the same household from being on the Board of Directors and having two distinct Board votes simultaneously. The Board of Directors must concede that Melody McDougald remains on the Board of Directors as elected. (This issue of two members from the same household should be addressed in the future.)
All the other arguments regarding the Associations business should be handled by the Board of Directors as usual. But we must first see to it that we have a Board elected by the membership, representing the membership.
